In 2009, Larry Smith's brother, Miles, tragically took his own life. Not long after this devastating loss, Larry took the initiative to create a group he named "Males with a Plan" in memory of his brother. Driven by a deep desire to establish a mental and physical safe haven for young men, Larry aimed to provide a space where they could freely express themselves. Fueled by this commitment, he developed a strategic prevention model with the ultimate goal of saving lives.

 

Our mission at Males with a Plan is to empower lives through a multifaceted approach. We focus on Peer-to-Peer discussions, Community Engagement, and Economic and Employment Sustainability. This holistic strategy aims to prevent antisocial behavior and combat the alarming rise in suicidality documented in recent years across cities.
